Colorado Indy Racing conducted the Speedway Driver Search 'THE ROOKIE' at GrandSport Speedway testing 30 new drivers. After the two week test the 8 fastest drivers will compete in a six race series with the winner gaining a full ride in the 2008 INDY CAR season! The complete event was filmed by JSP Productions out of Colorado for a reality TV show that will follow the ups and downs of all those involved!

The fastest drivers were getting it done with speeds of over 170 m.p.h. at the end of the front strait. The American Speed Association(ASA) was on hand watching the event and offering a helping hand in every way!

After it was all finished all the teams and drivers reported that GrandSport Speedway is challenging, very smooth and amongst the funnest of any track they have driven on. They can't wait to see the new track additions coming in the next few months as they plan to return in the spring for the filming of the second season.

PHASE TWO TIGER CIRCUIT BEGINS!
We have started working on cutting and clearing the area for the Phase two Tiger Circuit. We will start on the dirt work in a few weeks and work towards completion sometime in February! This will provide another 1.2 mile circuit that can combine with the Mako Circuit totalling 2.5 miles. As well one/eigth mile dragstrip will be included in the second phase! Keep watch for the progress!

ADDITION TO MAKO!
We are adding another third of a mile to the Mako circuits infield. This will create a more usable 1.55 mile course allowing more vehicles and challenges to the already fun track!
